53RD ANNUAL ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA SPORT FISHING TOURNAMENT

The Antigua & Barbuda Sports Fishing Club invites all regional and international anglers to our 53rd Annual ASF Tournament. Hosted from Antigua's own UNESCO World Heritage Site, Nelson's Dockyard, Antigua is the place to be from June 7th-9th 2019!
|
1st Day - June 7th - Mikie Pigott Jr. Memorial Classic, Registration closes June 6th. US$1000.00 Buy In, Team with the most points at the end of the day win's 80% of the total pot.
2nd & 3rd Day - June 8th & 9th - 53rd Annual Antigua & Barbuda Sports Fishing Tournament. Registration closes June 7th. Over EC$45,000.00 is Cash & Prizes to be given between the Marlin & Sporting Divisions. There is also a Sporting Division category for boats 25ft & Under.

Enjoy Music, Great Food, Awesome Drinks Specials and a lively eager crowd awaiting to see the days catch, followed by Live Bands each night.

Set a new Tournament record for Blue Marlin during the 53rd ASF and WIN US$100,000.00. Current record is 771.25lbs, and the closest most recent attempt was made in 2017 with 734lbs by Team Tahla'O from St. Barth.

Jolly Harbour Yacht club was founded in May 1993. It's Founding Members were Geoffrey Pidduck, Hans Lammers and Dom Henry.
|
|
In April on that same year the club hosted Antigua Sailing Week.
|
The Club then hosted the Carib Cup Regatta in 1995, 1996 and 1997 which were a great success.
The club started the Valentine's Regatta in 1996. The initiative was due to the impetus, motivation and encouragement of Antigua Yacht Club sailors and Robbie Ferron and Budget Marine which was intended to fill a void in CSA Calendar and to increase the Antigua Sports Calendar.
The Annual Regatta came into being after the Yacht Club lost the hosting of the Carib Cup when it was suggested that the winning island would take it over.

The Annual Regatta takes place in November and the St Valentine's Regatta takes place on the weekend prior to the 14th February each year.
|
|
The Club now runs Saturday afternoon racing every week and both members and guests are invited to participate. The race starts and finishes in Jolly Harbour with a variety of courses taking the participants out to Five Islands and around into Five Island Bay. Results and Prize giving takes place at 5.30 pm in the West Point Bar in the Jolly Harbour Commercial Centre.

The Club also has a weekly meeting of members and friends at the Al Porto Bar/Restaurant on Thursday evenings from 5pm to 7pm. Non and prospective members are encouraged to come along and meet club members and even find a boat to crew on during the Saturday racing.
